Finley the Fox

Okay so I lied last week, only I didn’t know I was lying at the time. I said the pattern for this week would include candy canes and I am sorry to say that it doesn’t.
Let me explain.
The main reason I decided to push back the candy cane project is because I needed to introduce you guys to Finley the Fox while it was still autumn. Technically fall will continue for about another month until the winter solstice in December but let’s be honest, fall ends with November and to be even more honest I pretty much consider fall over once all the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone and we are approaching that moment quickly in my house.
I am not really sure why fox are considered fall critters but I do love them. I have some other fox patterns for other series that I am excited about sharing with you in the future but I wanted to make sure to get one out this season so meet Finley the Fox, or Finley the Fall Fox, who is second to Benjy the Bat in my free Munchkin series. These friends are small and cute. They fit right in the palm of your hand and are even small enough that they could be made into keychains. (You can check out my tutorial on adding keychains to crochet here)

Shoutout to my Instagram friend @light.laugh.crochet for helping me come up with his name. Once I heard the name Finley it became stuck in my head and I knew our little friend had found his identity.

And since I didn’t share the pattern that includes candy canes this week I will add another clue.
Clue one from last week’s post: It includes candy canes, but not in the way you may think.
Clue two: It includes a green sweater.
Wow, those are two very different things, any guesses?
(You could totally cheat by checking out my Instagram feed where I have already shared a picture of the next pattern. If you do, make sure to follow me to get more sneak peaks!)
