Candy Corn Keychain

Here it is, my first ever blog post! I know what you’re thinking, “Candy Corn!? It’s still summer!” Maybe so, but here in New England fall comes fast and I simply cannot wait for the comfy sweaters, cozy drinks, autumn smells, and crunchy leaves. In my arguably premature excitement for autumn I have created four cute and quick fall themed keychains for you and will be introducing the other three over the next few weeks. Step by step photos will be at the bottom of the pattern.

With yellow

  1. Ch 9, (working in BLO) 3sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc blo next 6, 3sc in end. Turn and work along backside. Be careful not to work the “stitch” immediately beside your hook, that is simply the backside to the loop you just worked your 3sc into. Pull the tail tightly to help close that “stitch” and if necessary you can count backwards 6 from the unworked stitch just before your marker to where you need to make your next stitch now. Sc next 6, sl st to join (18) You will now be working in rounds the same as you would with a circle.
